Kaskaskia is deeply disappointed that Oxacmela is no longer interested in joining the Euphemian Bloc and would be interested in pursuing relations with the nation outside of this organization. Kaskaskia is also concerned that some of it's fellow members were  less than welcoming to a nation that had aspirations to join this organization. Other interested nations have not been addressed in this manner, and we hope that any future applicants will be treated with the respect that they have been in the past. Although we cannot apologize for the actions of other nations, we express regret that Oxacmela was treated in a confrontational manner.

I would also like to motion that more information about the bloc be added to the original post in this thread so that members interested in joining can decide if the bloc is right for them.

The Government of Folland would like to clarify that it meant no ill-will or aggression toward the government of Oxacmela concerning their interest in the Bloc Nations. It was merely the intent to remind the nation of certain policies that had been "contested" in the past with another power. But from the description of Oxacmela's Military policies and procedures, Folland believes Oxacmela would have no trouble in being a dependable Bloc Nation.

Our government requests the nation to renew their interest in joining the Bloc.

The Sinope Republic would like to congratulate Folland, Acadia, Shayden, Kaskaskia, Marqualis, Lansay and Mitron in the creation of this cooperation bloc. We hope the future economic deals between our nations and cooperation on different matters will be favored with the creation of such Euphemian bloc.

After various debate in Oxacmela's Congress, the Government of Oxacmela has regained its intentions in joining the Euphemian Bloc.

Message from the President of Oxacmela;

Gracias.

The Government of the United Oxacmelan States, has decided that the best thing for our country, a developing country, a country with the intention of becoming something bigger and more powerful on the world stage, has decided that the Euphemian Bloc is best for us. I personally think that this great country will be amazingly improved by being part of a community such as the Bloc. Great Oxacmelan allies such as Chaiden and Acadia, members of this bloc, have emerged and are highly present on the world stage as superpowers. By having countries as such, allied to Oxacmela, a great friendship between our governments could emerge, and survive until the end of time.

And today, I sincerely ask member governments to accept our great country, and so, enlarge the diversity and culture of Euphemian Bloc.

Thankyou.

Folland acknowledges Oxacmela and welcomes it. Disregarding the prior statement toward your government, I believe this would be nothing but beneficial to all.

Euphemian Bloc Meeting 7/8/2013

Stance on Kuyrut's & Trentannia's disputed territories:
The Euphemian Bloc's official stance on the disputed territories of Brennsland and Kuyrut is that Trentannia's claim is the most legitimate one, and will be supported by the Bloc.  Any attack on Trentannia by Kuyrut will be seen as an act of aggression against the Bloc, and military action may or may not be taken by the Bloc as a whole, but one or more individual nation within the Bloc will engage immediately.  This statement should not be taken as a threat, rather a policy.

Stance on Calibria's & Sinope's disputed territories:

Calibria is an ally to Acadia and has mutual defense with the nation
Acadia wishes to support Calibria's dependency claims, but without violence or force [unless necessary].

Shayden wishes to remain neutral on this situation. It has little relations with either nation, and feels it isn't of Shayden concern.

Kaskaskia supports everyone's sovereignty but doesn't really care about Althenan territorial rows. Therefore, it will maintain a neutral position on this matter.

Therefore, the Euphemian Bloc as a whole shall not make any official statement on this conflict, this will be up to individual nations.

Stance on Oxacmela's Application:
Oxacmela has been accepted into the Euphemian Bloc.  We again remind Oxacmela of its responsibilities and welcome it into the Bloc.
Folland: Oxacmela must agree to provide military assistance to the defense of Bloc Nations in times of conflict if it cannot provide offensive assistance.

Stance on Kuyrut's behavior:
Shayden has noticed Kuyrut hostilities, and find them unjust. We plan on cutting relations with them slightly to force them into talks with Acadia.

Acadia agrees to this plan and will cooperate.  This will act as an ultimatum to Kuyrut that demands an improvement in diplomatic activity.  Kuyrutian and South Cilician diplomatic stability is vital to Acadia, as Calibria is an Acadian ally, and a member of the alliance started by Kuyrut.

[Folland] Kuyrut has always been an awkward thorn in Euphemian sides for decades. It had only been recently that Follandan and Kuyrutian relations had risen to comfortable levels, however haven't lasted, have they.
And with this treaty, we must act carefully as our east Althenian ally, Okaiken is joined with Kuyrut via the treaty.

Euphemian Bloc: Relations with other nations must be protected, while Kuyrut's behavior must be corrected.

The discussion is shown below.

OK, this situation is getting worse btm...

///Ahead of planned talks, Okaiken is now considering that the bloc is pulling on the wrong strings, relying on its opinion of ally leaders instead of the opinion of people in the country/territory. The nation has now contacted other nations (EAS) for help. If situation is not calmed down between the parties, expect implementation of sanctions and/or possible expulsion from the USNW.

USNW is joined to promote peace and prosperity, not to promote control and imperialism. Okaiken will remain in the pact of non-aggression, and will try to maintain the integrity of the union.///

Roleplay Razz, Dejon, you know what to do from here :Pso respond and not shy about it h** Razz

Additional statements:

///The Prime Minister believes that the bloc is only destabilizing the South Cilician Region by butting in the conflicts that they do not have business with. He suggests staying out of the conflicts.

"You never ever fight fire with gas" he stated.///

Expulsion from the Union? Razz What did we do to possibly deserve this?  We had a discussion and announced our stances.  There were no threats of violence in any case.  We also announced that relations with Okaiken must be maintained, and Kuyrut will be separate in this case.

The Euphemian Bloc - Page 3 Kskexternalmin
The Confederation of Kaskaskia holds an opinion contrary to that presented as the official opinion  of the bloc on the Kuyrutian situation. We are greatly disappointed an official opinion was decided upon without our consultation, and will be reviewing how this was allowed to happen. The official stance of the Kaskaskian government on the territorial dispute between Kuyrut and Trentannia is that the people of Brennsland should have the right to choose through referendum either independence or a union with Kuyrut. We are greatly troubled that the nations of this organization, which supposedly exists for the purpose of supporting Euphemian interests, have rushed to support an imperialistic power from another continent in favor of one of their Euphemian neighbors.

It is also concerning to us that our fellow bloc members seem so concerned about the creation of a similar peaceful organization that is of, in our opinion, of little threat to the bloc. The confrontational approach taken toward this organization that focuses on the protection of the interests of minor nations seems quite rash and has caused great concern among members of the Kaskaskian General Assembly.

Statement from Chancellor Mark Grumboltd, 35th Chancellor of Folland

After further deliberation and thought, we (Follandan government) see the Brennsland territories as a land with potential for individual governance. Even though it may be technically a Trentannian territory of latter days, the idea of Imperialism of the past has outlived it's age. As of the current moment, Brennsland is a land under the governance of Trentannia, in our eyes. However, we believe the people there deserve to have their own voice heard. And we do not accept the choices given to them by the Kuyrutian government of either independence or assimilation into Kuyrut, but also assimilation as a full fledged territory of Trentannia. We agree a decision must be made and this dispute dealt with, but only by the Brennsland peoples themselves.

Any military action taken within Brennsland between Trentannia and Kuyrut, or their allies, will be seen as an indirect assault on the Brennsland people, and will be dealt with accordingly as a neighboring Euphemian Nation.
