I know you've all seen my cities, but I'll show some pictures anyway.
-History- (I'm trying to make it something similar to the U.S.'s history, I'm also creating some history for non-player countries, too.) Acadia was originally a group of colonies ruled by Posillipo from about 1610-1789. When taxes and other conflicts became problems, Acadia declared its independence in August 14th of 1789. From 1790 to 1797, Posillipo and the Acadian Rebels fought for control of the land. The Acadians eventually won when a peace treaty was signed in Insulo. Some colonies and parts of colonies remained under Posillipian(Posilliponian?) rule and gained their independence later through diplomatic negotiations (The Fraesian Confederacy, for example).
-Population- 211,591,917 as of last year.
-Government- (Acadia's government is quite similar to the United States's government.) Acadia's "leader" is the President. He/she runs Acadia which is made up of 10 states, including the Capital District, as shown in the flag and coat of arms (the 10 stars). The nation's capital is Troy.
Here is a map of the 10 states:
The states each have their own government similar to the nation's government.
-Economic Facts- Acadia has a very agriculture-rich region. In the western states, agriculture makes up a huge portion of the economy. In the east, lumber is a large portion of the economy. The GDP is ε15 trillion (assuming the enieo is equivalent to the $USD.) Acadia's large economy attracts immigrants from neighboring countries as well as a few in Althenia. Acadia's government encourages companies to export their goods to other states as well as other countries to improve the economy. Shayden is Acadia's #1 export with 19.4%, Oxacmela with 12.8%, and Troix with 7.2%.
-Other-
Flag and Coat of Arms: The pine tree represents what the Althenian explorers saw in the distance that convinced them to turn in that direction; hence the discovery of Acadia. The 10 stars each represent one state, including the capital.
Non-player countries' fate & Map: You can probably tell by the map that Acadia takes place of some other countries. It would help and make the most sense if the borders were changed to the picture I posted showing the location, and the names staying the same. And, on the map, would it be okay if it said Federal Republic of Acadia with Acadian Federation in parenthesis? (Like shown in the map )
I'll probably think of something to put here later...
Link to CJ: Genoa and Highland is a CJ showing two cities. My "real" CJ will be here, showing other cities and having foreign relations.
